With the experience of massive production projects of automotive-grade LiDAR transmitters, Focuslight has successfully expanded lean manufacturing practices in the automotive industry to both its production line for automotive products as well as the conventional laser and optics production lines.
The production lines adopt self-developed automated assembly lines integrating the processing in the diode laser industry with the JIT (just-in-time) and JIDOKA (automation) systems of the automotive industry, connecting the material conveying system, accompanying fixtures, and online inspection equipment into an organic whole. Thanks to the stability and consistency of the automated production line, Focuslight has significantly improved both product quality and production efficiency.
By incorporating a philosophy of absolute customer focus, zero tolerance of waste, and continuous improvement, as well as adopting automation and an advanced production management system, Focuslight enables multiple manufacturing plants to achieve operational excellence with significantly decreased cycle time, improved manufacturing efficiency, lowered RMA yield and reduced manufacturing cost.
